Cauliflower fry | Chilli gobi fry




Easy tea time appetizer | Chilli gobi

Ingredients :

  1. Cauliflower- 1 no(separated into small florets)
  2. Onion - 1 nos(crushed in food processor)
  3. Ginger garlic paste-2 tbsp
  4. Tomato paste-1 tbsp
  5. Soya Sauce-1 tsp
  6. Gramflour-1 cup
  7. Maida(All purpose flour)-1 cup
  8. ChillypowderChilli Powder - 2 tbsp
  9. Turmeric pwd-1 tsp
  10. Asafoetida(Kayam) - A pinch
  11. Salt- As reqd
  12. Baking soda-a pinch
  13. Water as required
  14. Vegetable oil for frying

Method:

Initially cook the florets of cauliflower with turmeric pwd,salt in water and set aside. Don't over cook

Take all other ingredients


Take a wide vessel,mix the gram flour and maida together and add salt into it


Add in asafoetida(kayam)


Add in Turmeric and red chilli powder


Add in baking soda 


Mix well


Add crushed ginger,garlic and onion into it and mix well.


Add in enough water


Add in tomato paste


Add in soya sauce



Put cauliflower flowerlets into it.


Heat oil ina pan for frying.Drop each flowerlet into hot oil.and fry it.


Our crispy gobi fry is ready.
Serve as hot with tomato ketchup along with a cup of tea.
