Muringa ila thoran recipe | Drumstick leaves stir fry with coconut

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Daal - 1 cup
  2. Drumstick leaves -1 cup
  3. Turmeric powder -¼ tsp
  4. Green chilli-2,3 nos
  5. Shallots-4,5 nos
  6. Grated coconut -1 cup
  7. Garlic -2 nos
  8. Coconut Oil- 1tbsp
  9. Curry leaves-a few

METHOD:

  1. Detach the drumstick leaves from the stem.Wash it thoroughly.



2.  Cook Toor Dal with water,salt and 2 tsp oil.
3.  Grind the coconut, garlic,green chillies,turmeric,shallots to a fine paste.



4..Add this paste to the cooked daal along with little water and salt.



5.  Add leaves into it. Mix well


6.Cover it and cook until leaves are done.
7.Heat oil in another pan .
8.Add mustard seeds. Allow it to splutter,Add curry leaves.Turn off the flame
9.Season the stir fry with this..
 Serve with steamed rice. enjoy..!!
