Today I am sharing an easy egg kabab/egg cutlet recipe. Kebab or kabob is a dish of pieces of meat, fish or vegetables roasted or grilled on a skewer or spit originating in the middle east, before spreading worldwide. There are many varieties of kebab in different taste and texture.
Egg kabab is a famous snack in iftar dinner. It is an easy iftar snack or party snack which is really tasty too. Hope you will like my recipe and enjoy the video.


Ingredients we need :
To make kababs


  1. Eggs : 3, hard-boiled and quartered.
  2. Potato : 3 large, boiled, peeled and mashed.
  3. Oil: 2 Tablespoon.
  4. Onion: 1 large, finely chopped.
  5. Ginger: 1 Teaspoon, Finely chopped.
  6. Garlic:1 Teaspoon, Finely chopped.
  7. Green chilly: 2, finely chopped.
  8. Curry leaves: 1 sprig, finely chopped.
  9. Turmeric powder: 1/2 teaspoon.
  10. Black pepper powder:¼ Teaspoon.
  11. Garam masala powder:1 Teaspoon.
  12. Cilantro: 2 tbsp., finely chopped.
  13. Salt to taste

For coating and frying:

  1. Egg: 1, beaten.
  2. Milk: 2 Tablespoon.
  3. Breadcrumbs:3/4 cup.
  4. Oil for frying.
  5. Salt: A pinch.



Method of preparation :
  1. Heat a pan with oil on medium heat. Add finely chopped ginger, garlic, green chilies, onion, curry leaves, and salt to taste. Saute until onion becomes translucent.
  2. Add turmeric powder, black pepper powder, and garam masala powder.
  3. Mix it well on low flame. Add the mashed potatoes and combine well.
  4. Add chopped cilantro and salt if needed. Mix it nicely and cook for few minutes and turn off the flame.
  5. Allow this mixture to cool slightly.
  6. Add 1 egg in a bowl. Add a pinch of salt and two tablespoons of milk. Beat this mixture with a fork. Keep this aside.
  7. Grease your palm with oil and roll the potato mixture into equal medium-sized balls. Flatten it in your palms and place the quartered egg. Shape into oval kababs.
  8. Dip it in beaten egg mixture and roll in breadcrumbs. Deep-fry at medium heat until browned. 

Serve warm with tomato ketchup.
