Strawberry Cupcakes |Straw berry flavored cupcakes with whip cream frosting




Hello readers, Today I am here with a simple cupcakes recipe. Yes, Love strawberries ?? But this cupcakes is with strawberry essence. You can replace the flavoring essence with fresh strawberry puree.

Let us get started,
Ingredients for making cupcakes are:

  1. All purpose flour/Maida- 1½ Cup.
  2. Baking Powder-1 Tablespoon.
  3. Salt-1/4 Teaspoon.
  4. Butter-½ Cup at room temperature.
  5. Sugar-1/2Cup.
  6. Eggs-2 Eggs at room temperature.
  7. Strawberry essence-1 Teaspoon.
  8. Vanilla essence-½ Teaspoon.
  9. Milk-½ Cup.
  10. Red/Pink Food color- ½ Teaspoon.

For whip cream frosting :

  1. Milk- ½ Cup cold milk.
  2. Dream whip powder- 1 sachet(36 gms)
  3. Vanilla/Strawberry essence-½ Teaspoon.
  4. Red/Pink Food color- 3, 4 drops. (I used red)

Method of preparation :

  1. Preheat the oven at 180-degree Celsius.
  2. Sift the flour, baking powder and salt together and set it aside.
  3. In a large bowl beat the butter & sugar together until light and creamy.
  4. Add two eggs at room temperature and mix it well.
  5. Now add strawberry and vanilla essence to this butter-egg mixture and again mix it properly.
  6. Add the half of the sifted flour and mix well. Add milk and remaining flour to this and mix it well.
  7. Add pink or red food color to this and mix it properly. Do not over mix the batter.
  8. Line the muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  9. Spoon the batter into prepared cups.
  10. Bake the cupcakes in the preheated oven(180-degrees Celcius) for 20  to 25 minutes. Or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
  11. Allow cooling completely before frosting.


Preparation of whipped cream frosting with dream whip:

  1. In a chilled bowl add a half cup of milk and one sachet of dream whip powder.
  2. If the kitchen is too hot over 30-degree don't forget to chill the bowl and beater.
  3. Add vanilla essence or strawberry essence. Beat on high speed for 4 to 5 minutes. Add few drops of color and beat until the topping thickens and forms light and fluffy peaks.
  4. Fill the piping bag with whipped cream. Pipe icing on top of the cooled cupcakes and top.
