Mutton Liver Pepper Roast

It has been a while I made mutton liver roast at my home for dinner as a side dish with chappathi.This recipe is a mixture of spices and liver together combined nicely and coated well to make a awesome dry dish.I initially cook liver seperatly along with salt and garam masala powder.
An important thing you must note is dont overcook the liver..
Let me tell my recipe..Must try it..Have a tasty dinner..Lets get cooking..

Ingredients for making Liver roast:

  1. Mutton Liver-Cleaned,cut into small pieces.
  2. Onion-2 numbers - Sliced
  3. Ginger-Finely chopped-2 tbsp
  4. Garlic-Finely chopped-2 tbsp
  5. Green chillies-3,4 numbers slitted
  6. Curry leaves-few
  7. Tomato- 1 medium size Chopped
  8. Turmeric powder-1 tsp
  9. Red chilli Powder-1 tbsp
  10. Black pepper-1 tsp
  11. Coriander powder-1 tbsp
  12. Salt-As required
  13. Cooking Oil-As required
  14. Water-As needed

Method for preparing liver pepper roast:

  1. Cook liver with salt,garam masala powder and a cup of water.Keep aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan.Add ginger and garlic and saute for 2 minutes.
  3. Then add Sliced Onions,Green chillies,and curry leaves..Saute well for 5 minutes..
  4. Add in tomato and saute for 2 minutes.
  5. Now add all spice powders..Turmeric powder,Red chilli powder,Coriander powder and pepper powder .At this time turn the fire to simmer..then add cooked liver into it and saute for several min.
  6. If the liver contain water(I mean the water used for cooking) allow them to completely dried. 

That is it..Spicy liver roast is ready to serve..Serve with chappathi,porotta or any thing you want..

  • It is important do not overcook the liver.
  • Keep the flame lower when adding spice powders.
  • Can decrease the spice level according to your taste.
