Tomato stir fry

One of my favourite and easy side dish.This side dish reminds my childhood days and school days. My mom knows I am very fond of tomatoes.So she prepares this for me as a side for the school days lunch.Whenever I open my lunch box I would smile.. Because tomato is there.. I dont know some body says it is not good for kidney.There is a chance to form stones in kidney.To avoid this remove the skin of tomato while eating.. Then no problem. Forming kidney stones is the only problem but otherwise it is good for skin and nutritious.

Ingredients for making tomato stir fry:
  1. Tomato-2 medium sized.
  2. Onion -1 large.
  3. Green chillies-2 numbers.
  4. Curry leaves-few.
  5. Mustad seeds-1/4 teaspoon.
  6. Salt as required.
  7. Oil-1 tablespoon.

  1. Heat a tablespoon of oil in a pan.Put mustard seeds into it.Allow them to crack.
  2. Add in sliced onions,slitted green chillies and curry leaves into it.
  3. Saute until onion gets translucent.
  4. Add in salt to taste.Then add sliced tomato into it.Cover it and cook in low flame.Turn of the flame when tomato is completely cooked.
  5. Serve as a side dish for cooked plain rice.
