Green peas Spicy Masala | Dry version


  1. Green peas-2 cups cooked
  2. Onion-1 sliced
  3. Tomato-2 chopped
  4. Fennel powder/ Perumjeerakam-2 tsp
  5. Ginger-1 tblspn chopped finely
  6. Garlic- 1 tblspn chopped finely
  7. Green chilli-1 chopped
  8. Chilli powder -1 tsp
  9. Coriander powder / Malli podi-1 tblspn
  10. Turmeric powder / Manjal podi-1 tsp
  11. Garam masala-1/2 tsp
  12. Curry leaves-1 spring
  13. Salt to taste
  14. Oil-3 tblspn.


Heat oil in a pan

Add  ginger,garlic and green chilli and mix well..

Add  onions and cook for 3 mins.

Add  Garam masala,turmeric,chilli and coriander powder..Cook this for 30 sec..

Add  cooked green peas and mix well..So that greenpeas is coated with the masala..

Add  salt and a ½ cup of water..Cover and cook on a low flame for 10 mins..

Add in tomatoes and mix well...Cook this for 5 mins..

Add in curry leaves...Toss well to coat..

Serve as hot with chappathi...
