Hey there.. Welcome back, foodies today I a gonna share a super delicious my favorite chicken cutlets. Yes it is very popular in every tea shop in Kerala. But we Malayalees love it..

Ingredients for making chicken cutlets
For cooking chicken
Chicken 500 gms or ½ Kg
Turmeric powder- ½ tsp
Garam Masala- ¼ Tsp
Ginger Garlic paste- 1 tbsp
Water-¼ Cup.
Salt- to taste
For cooking Cutlet mixture
Oil- 1 tbsp
Ginger-Garlic paste- 1½ tbsp
Onion, finely chopped- 2 medium sized onions.
Green chilies, finely chopped- 2
Curry leaves-few
Garam masala-1 tsp
Already Cooked-shredded chicken.
Cilantro (coriander leaves)chopped-1 handful
Potatoes boiled and mashed - 6 small potatoes i used (cook in microwave or pressure cooked)
Salt-to taste.
For Frying Cutlets
Beaten egg - 1 egg
Breadcrumbs plain-1 cup
Oil- enough for frying

Cilantro (coriander leaves)chopped-1 handful
Potatoes boiled and mashed - 6 small potatoes i used (cook in microwave or pressure cooked)
Salt-to taste.
For Frying Cutlets
Beaten egg - 1 egg
Breadcrumbs plain-1 cup
Oil- enough for frying
Method:
- Wash the potatoes thoroughly, cook potatoes along with a cup of water and a pinch of salt, set aside.You can use pressure cooker to cook them.When it is cooled peel the skin of the potatoes.Mash them well.
- Pressure cook the chicken along with Turmeric powder, Garam Masala, Ginger Garlic paste, Water, and Salt.
- Shred the chicken or mince it in a blender.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a deep pan.Add in crushed ginger and garlic.Add in chopped green chilies and chopped curry leaves.Saute for sometime.
- Add in onion.Add salt to taste.Saute well until it becomes translucent.
- Add cooked & shredded chicken. Mix it nicely.
- Add in garam masala and pepper powder.Saute for another 10 minutes.
- Turn off the flame and add mashed potatoes.Combine well.
- Add chopped cilantro too. mix it well.
- Let it cool down.
- When it is cooled make balls with it.Shape them into rounded or oval shape.
- Dip them in beaten egg and then roll in breadcrumbs. Shallow fry it until it gets a golden brown color.
- Drop them to a tissue paper to absorb excess oil in it.
Serve it with tomato ketchup.ENJOY!!

Take chicken in pressure cooker
Add salt.
Add in turmeric powder.
Add in gara masala powder.
Add ginger garlic paste
Add enough water to cook.
Allow to evaporate all the water in it.
Now it is ready.
Shred the chicken using a fork or blender.
Ready.. keep it aside..
Peel cooked potatoes.
Mash them and keep it aside..
Heat oil in a pan and add ginger garlic paste.
Chopped green chillies..
Curry leaves..
Saute for few seconds
Add chopped onion.
Salt to taste.
Shredded chicken.
Add in garam masala powder.
Add black pepper powder.
Add mashed Potato and Give a good stir.
Allow to cool and add cilantro.
Make balls with it.
Shape them into rounded or oval shape
Ready.. I made 16 cutlets.(4 left in another plate :) )
First dip in egg .
Then roll it in bread crumbs.
Ready to fry..(you can store in the freezer for later use)
Fry both sides till golden brown.
one side done..
Remove from oil. Drain it on a kitchen towel.
Yummy!!! Serve it with tomato ketchup..
