Today I am sharing a simple rose milk pudding recipe. This pudding is very easy to make.You can watch video here.
Agar agar (china grass) is a vegetarian substitute for gelatin which is flavorless and odorless, which makes it an excellent thickening agent for cooking especially for desserts like puddings.
Agar Agar is a rich source of calcium and iron, and also very high in fiber. It contains no sugar and fat-free. It is known for its ability to aid in digestion and weight loss.
Ingredients needed for this pudding:
- Milk - 500 ml ( 2 cups)
- Sugar - 1/2 cup or based on your taste. ( If required))
- Rose Syrup - 2 to 3 tbsp
- China grass - 5 to 7 gms
- Water 1 Cup.
Method of preparation:
- Cut china grass into small pieces and soak in water for 15 to 20 minutes.
- In a saucepan add milk and sugar. Allow boiling the milk on a medium flame.
- Add soaked china grass to the milk and heat the mixture till the china grass melts completely.
- Allow cooling this mixture slightly. Add rose syrup to this milk mixture and mix well.
- Strain the mixture and pour this into 3 cups/ molds.
- Cover it and refrigerate for 2 - 3 hours.
- Unmold from the bowl to a plate.. garnish with rose syrup and serve.
