If you've wanted to learn how to make fried chicken, this is the recipe will helps you. Always a picnic favorite, this deep fried chicken recipe is delicious either hot or cold. This is not a complicated recipe. even beginners can try this recipe.
Ingredients for making this fried chicken:
For chicken marination:
Chicken-1 kg Cut into 6 pieces(with its skin)I didn't take breast pieces.
Salt to taste.
Ginger garlic paste-1 Teaspoon.
Black pepper powder-1/2 Teaspoon.
Red chilli powder-1/2 teaspoon.
Lime juice-2 Teaspoons.
Salt to taste.
Ginger garlic paste-1 Teaspoon.
Black pepper powder-1/2 Teaspoon.
Red chilli powder-1/2 teaspoon.
Lime juice-2 Teaspoons.
For flour mixture:
All-purpose flour-1 Cup.
Oats-1/4 Cup.
Paprika powder-1/2 Teaspoon.
Oregano-1/2 Teaspoon.
Black pepper powder-1/2 Teaspoon.
Ginger garlic paste-1 Teaspoon.
Salt to taste.
For the egg mixture:
Egg-1 Large.
Milk-1/4 Cup, Boiled or pasteurised.
Red Chilli sauce- 1 Teaspoon.
Black pepper powder-1/2 Teaspoon.
Method of preparation:
- In a large bowl take washed & drained chicken pieces. Marinate the chicken pieces with salt, ginger garlic paste, black pepper powder, red chilli powder and lime juice. Keep this aside for 15 minutes.
- Take another bowl combine the all-purpose flour, oats, paprika powder, oregano, black pepper powder, ginger garlic paste and salt to taste.
- In another bowl beat egg, milk, red chilli sauce and black pepper powder together.
- Dip each chicken pieces in the egg mixture then roll the chicken in the flour mixture.
- Fry chicken, several pieces in medium hot oil, for 5-6 minutes on each side or until golden brown and chicken cooked completely. Drain the excess oil on paper towels.
- Serve with coleslaw and ketchup.
