Tutti frutti | How to make tutti frutti at home

Hello, there I am here with another beautiful recipe.. Tutti-frutti. I love this tutti frutti since my childhood. but don't know how to prepare and this is made with papaya... 
Let us get started..

Ingredients for making tutti frutti:

  1. Raw Papaya - 500 gms.
  2. Sugar-2 Cups.
  3. Vanilla essence-1/2 Teaspoon
  4. Red food color-1/4 teaspoon.
  5. Green food color-1/4 teaspoon.
  6. yellow food color-1/4 teaspoon.
  7. Water as required.

Method of preparation:

  1. Peel the skin of raw papaya and cut in half. Remove the seeds of the white skin beneath the seeds.
  2. Chop the papaya into small pieces.
  3. Boil 1-liter water in a vessel. Add chopped papaya and boil for 5 to 10 minutes. Half cooked papaya will turn semi-transparent. Drain off the water and set aside.
  4. Heat another pan and add 2 cups of sugar and half cup of water. Stir and dissolve the sugar completely.
  5. Add half cooked papaya and cook for another 20 to 30 minutes, stir in between.
  6. Remove from heat once the sugar turns sticky or one string consistency.
  7. Add vanilla essence and mix nicely.
  8. Divide the papaya pieces into three. Add colour to papaya in each bowl. I give a red, green and yellow colour.
  9. Soak the mixture for 12 hours to 1 day.
  10. After 12 hours drain off the excess sugar syrup and colour into a kitchen towel...
  11. Set this aside for at least 4 hours or till it drains off completely.
  12. Homemade tutti frutti is now ready... you can use in desserts cake etc..
  13. Store in the refrigerator up to 2 weeks.
