Today I am sharing egg puffs recipe using readymade puff pastry sheet.



Ingredients used in this recipe:

  1. Oil-2 tablespoon.
  2. Onion- 3 large,sliced.
  3. Curry leaves - few.
  4. Green chilies- 2 numbers, minced.
  5. Ginger and garlic- 1 tablespoon, crushed.
  6. Turmeric powder-1/4 teaspoon.
  7. Coriander powder- 1 teaspoon.
  8. Red chili powder- 1 Teaspoon.
  9. Garam masala powder-1/2 Teaspoon.
  10. Tomato-1 small, chopped.
  11. Eggs-4 numbers.
  12. Puff pastry sheets-8 numbers.
  13. Beaten egg-1 egg beaten with a little salt.
  14. Pepper powder- to taste.
  15. Salt- to taste.

Method of preparation:

  1. Heat a pan with oil. Saute sliced onion, ginger, and garlic, green chilies, and curry leaves.
  2. Add salt to taste. Once the onion becomes soft and translucent add all spice powders one by one. Mix them well in a low flame. Add chopped tomato and saute until it is cooked.
  3. Thaw the puff pastry sheets according to the package instructions.
  4. Hard boil the eggs and remove the shells.
  5. Divide the eggs into two equal halves and sprinkle little pepper powder if you want to.
  6. Dust little flour on the countertop and roll the pastry sheets into a small square. Place a tablespoon full of egg masala in the center and place one piece of the egg upside down in the middle.
  7. Apply beaten eggs on the sides of the pastry. Fold from the opposite sides and seal.
  8. Place the egg puffs in the tray of the oven.
  9. Apply the egg wash all over the sealed puffs.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven at 200-degree Celcius for 20-25 minutes or until the puff pastry becomes a golden color.
