Tuna masala | Canned tuna Gravy | Bachelors recipe

Tuna masala is a delicious side dish which can be prepared so easily. You can prepare this Kerala Style sautéed Tuna with Spices -Choora Meen masala using fresh fish or canned tuna.

Ingredients for making this recipe:

  1. Oil- 2 tablespoons.
  2. Garlic- 1 Tablespoon, finely chopped.
  3. Curry leaves few.
  4. Green chilies-2 numbers, slit.
  5. Onion- 1 large, finely chopped.
  6. Turmeric powder-1/4 Teaspoon.
  7. Red chili powder-1 Tablespoon.
  8. Garam masala powder-1/4 Teaspoon.
  9. Fennel powder-1/8 teaspoon.
  10. Tomato-1 large, finely chopped.
  11. Tuna - 1 can.
  12. Coriander leaves-few.
  13. water as needed.

Salt to taste.
Method of preparation:

  1. Heat a pan with oil. Add chopped garlic, curry leaves, green chilies and saute for few seconds.
  2. Add chopped onion and salt. Saute the onion until it becomes translucent. 
  3. Add allspice powders and saute until the raw smell goes.
  4. Add chopped tomato and saute well.
  5. Drain the water or oil from the tuna and add to the gravy. Mix it well.
  6. Add required water to this. Cover and cook for a few minutes.
  7. Add few chopped coriander leaves and serve.
