Best ever creamy coffee dessert | Dalgona Coffee dessert | Dalgona Candy

Dalgona, a sweet sponge candy, is a popular Korean street snack. The candy became popular in the '70s and continues to be a nostalgic yummy treat. Today I am sharing a simple sweet dessert with dalgona coffee flavor...a creamy dalgona dessert with dalgona candy, cream and bread slices. Dalgona Coffee or Whipped Coffee is a frothy 3 ingredient 5-minute coffee made using instant coffee powder , sugar, and hot water. The coffee is whipped along with sugar and water until is light and frothy and then mixed with chilled milk.

Dalgona Candy

Firstly we going to make dalgona candy,
Ingredients for making dalgona candy:
1. Sugar - 1/2 Cup
2. Baking Soda- 1 gm or 1/4 teaspoon.
Method of preparation:
1. Prepare a baking paper or any greased surface to pour the sugar candy.
2.Grease any small cookie cutter or mold. this is optional.
3. Heat a pan with sugar. Heat the sugar at low heat until the sugar melts completely.
4. Once the sugar gets completely melted Remove from heat.
5. Now immediately add baking soda. Mix until the sugar starts to puff up.
6. Transfer the sugar+soda mixture on to the baking paper immediately.
7. Press the mold on the candy.
8. Let it cool and the dalgona candy is ready...
Ingredients for dalgona cream dessert:
1. Dangona candy- 5 to 6 small candies.
2. Bread slices-6 to 8 slices.
3. Boiled milk-1 Cup(hot milk)
4.Instant coffee powder-4 tablespoons + 2 teaspoons.
5.Sugar-1/4 cup + 1 tablespoon. + 4 tablespoons.
6. Chilled whipping Cream - 1 cup.
7. Vanilla essence- 1 teaspoon.
8. Hot water- 4 tablespoons.
Method of preparation:
1. Crush some dalgona candies and keep this aside.
2. Trim the edges of bread slices and keep this aside.
3. In a bowl add a cup of boiled milk. Add 2 teaspoons of coffee powder and a tablespoon of sugar 4 4. and mix it well.
5. Take a large pudding tray. Dip each slice of bread in the coffee mixture and layer it in the pudding tray. The first layer is ready. Keep this in the refrigerator.
6. In a large bowl add a cup of chilled whipping cream. Add vanilla essence and sugar. Whip the cream until stiff peaks form. Keep this in the refrigerator.
7. In a bowl add 4 tablespoons of coffee,4 tablespoons of sugar, and the same amount of hot water.
8. Mix well with a spoon and beat the mixture until thick and frothy.
9. Assembling the pudding:
10. Sprinkle crushed dalgona candies on top of the first layer of bread slices.
11. Spread whipping cream as the second layer. Smooth the top evenly.
12. Sprinkle some crushed dalgona candy.
13. Then spread top layer as the whipped coffee mixture.
14. Sprinkle some candy on top and cover this with a cling wrap and chill the pudding for at least 3 to 4 hours.
5. Slice and enjoy...
