Tahina Halwa | Easy Tahini Halwa


Halva is a traditional Middle Eastern fudge-like confection made with tahini (sesame seed paste), sugar, spices, and nuts. In fact, the Arabic word halva translates to “sweetness.”

Halva’s semisweet, nutty flavor and crumbly, fluffy texture are what make it a uniquely delicious treat. This iconic candy can be found in many Middle Eastern grocery stores and street markets.

Ingredients required in this recipe:
  1. Tahini Paste: 1 & 1/4 Cup.
  2. Icing Sugar or powdered sugar: 1 Cup.
  3. Milk Powder-1 Cup.
  4. Pistachios: Crushed, as needed.

Method of preparation:
  1. Grease a small mold with butter or layer with butter paper.
  2. Mix tahini paste, icing sugar and milk powder together with hand.
  3. Spread crushed pistachios in the prepared tin.
  4. Transfer the tahini mixture into the tin.
  5. Press with hand or a spatula evenly.
  6. Top with crushed pistachios and press gently.
  7. Cover and refrigerate for at least 8 hours.
  8. Cut into small squares and serve...
