Chocolate chip Cookies | Chewy Choco Chunk cookies



Chewy Chocolate Chunk Cookies, Choco chip cookies. I can't resist eating these chewy chunky cookies. I will enjoy every bite. Actually, I tried these cookies with chocolate chunks. The taste was heavenly with the flavor of brown sugar and chocolate. I promise you will love these cookies in every bite. Personally, this recipe is one of my favorites. Ingredients required in this recipe are :
  1. Chocochips or a chocolate bar - 150 -200 gms Semi sweet chocolate.
  2. All-purpose flour- 1  1/4 cups.
  3. Baking Soda-1/2 Teaspoon.
  4. Salt-1/4 Teaspoon.
  5. Unsalted Butter-100 gms at room temperature.
  6. White regular sugar-1/2 Cup
  7. Brown sugar-1/2 Cup
  8. Vanilla essence-1/2 Tablespoon.
  9. Egg- 1 egg at room temperature.

Method of preparation:
  1. Chop the chocolate bar into small chunks if you are using the chocolate bar. Keep this aside.
  2. In a small mixing bowl mix together flour, baking soda, and salt. Keep this aside.
  3. In a large bowl beat together softened butter and sugar.
  4. Beat well until light and fluffy.
  5. Add one egg and vanilla essence and beat well until creamy and fluffy.
  6. Sift and add flour mix to this and mix well.
  7. Add in chopped chocolate chunks or choco chips to this and mix well.
  8. Save some chocolate for topping the cookies before baking.
  9. Store this cookie dough as covered in refrigerator up to a week or freeze for a month.
  10. Lightly grease the baking tray with some butter and line the tray with a baking sheet.
  11. Shape the dough into cookies into small balls with tablespoon measurement. Place the cookies in the baking sheet 2 inches apart. And place few more choco chunks or choco chips on top.
  12. Chill them in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or until firm.
  13. Preheat the oven at 160-degree Celcius. Bake the cookies for 15-18 minutes.
  14. The cookies will look very soft and underbaked. They will continue to bake on the cookie sheet. Allow cooling on the cookie sheet for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Cookies stay fresh covered at room temperature for up to 1 week.
