Pineapple Pudding | Pineapple chinagrass pudding

Last month we got a lot of pineapple from the market at a very less price. So I was thinking about doing so many recipes out of it. But I was a bit lazy :D  Finally, I did the yummiest pudding with pineapple and my family loves it. So I am going to share my recipe with you guys...



This is a quick, easy, and tasty no-bake eggless Pineapple pudding recipe. Pudding made with condensed milk, milk, sauteed pineapple and garnished with cherries and nuts.

The ingredients we need in this recipe are:

  1. Pineapple - 1 1/2 Cup, chopped.
  2. Sugar1/4 Cup.

For milk pudding

  1. Milk- 2 1/2 cups.
  2. Sugar -1/4 Cup.
  3. Condensed Milk-1/4 Cup.
  4. Pineapple essence-1 Teaspoon.
  5. Vanilla essence-1 Teaspoon.
  6. Yellow color- as required(optional)
  7. Dried cherry- chopped.
  8. Pistachio- chopped.

Method of preparation:

  1. Chop the pineapple into very small pieces. In a pan saute chopped pineapple and sugar until the water in the pan dries out completely.
  2. Grease the tray with some ghee or butter.
  3. Layer half of the pineapple on a pudding tray.
  4. Cut the china grass into fine pieces and soak in 1/2  cup of water for 15 to 30 minutes.
  5.  In a saucepan boil2 1/2 cups of full cream milk.
  6. Add sugar and condensed milk. Mix that well. and keep aside.
  7. In another saucepan melt soaked china grass on a low flame. Once it is melted into a liquid form. Add this to the milk mixture and heat it again together.
  8. Turn off the heat and remove it from the stove.
  9. Add pineapple essence, vanilla essence, and a few drops of yellow color if you desired.
  10. Strain and pour this hot milk mixture into the prepared pudding tray.
  11. Set aside this for 15 minutes at room temperature. When it is partially set on top, sprinkle some chopped cherry and pistachios.
  12. Cover with a cling wrap and chill in the refrigerator for 2 - 3 hours or until set.
